Job Description
We are excited to invite a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic Critical Technologies team! In this role, you will support Project Managers in overseeing multiple projects, ensuring efficient setup, compliance, and effective documentation management. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with site technical teams to address personnel needs, resolve issues, and report on project progress. This position includes regular site visits, managing subcontractor and mechanical installation progress, and participating in project material logistics and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including compliance records, schedules, daily reports, labor reporting, change orders, and quality control.
Conduct regular visits to remote sites to ensure project alignment.
Monitor subcontractor and mechanical installation progress, providing regular reports to management.
Develop change orders based on bidding and sales processes while ensuring adherence to organizational policies.
Collaborate on project procurement, material transmittals, and logistics with internal teams and subcontractors.
Attend project meetings, recording minutes and delivering updates to the management team.
Track project schedules and ensure that milestones and personnel needs are met.
Assist site technical leads in resolving project challenges and meeting personnel requirements.
Analyze data, trends, and reports to foster continuous project improvement.
Qualifications:
1-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within HVAC or mechanical systems.
Understanding of project management principles (PM 101).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read project schedules and create custom Gantt charts.
Familiarity with project management and bidding processes.
Skill in interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs) and control drawings.
Experience in material procurement, logistics management, and project scheduling.
Understanding of contract negotiation and administration.
Competency in identifying project critical paths and labor scheduling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing at a collegiate level.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Smartsheets.
Strong data analysis skills, particularly in Python.
Understanding of commissioning processes and HVAC installation procedures.
Familiarity with project "L" levels and best practices in materials management.
