Chief Operating Officer (COO) Responsibilities: Operational Leadership & Strategic Execution: - Oversee all construction operations across multiple countries to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at top quality.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency and scalability internationally.
- Identify and introduce new technologies and process improvements for better project delivery and cost savings.
Financial & Commercial Management: - Drive profitability and manage cost controls for financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with the CFO on budgets, forecasts, and capital investment planning.
- Oversee contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and maintain supply chain efficiency.
Business Growth & Expansion: - Assist the CEO in exploring new markets, partnerships, and business opportunities.
- Lead expansion initiatives, especially in North America.
- Develop adaptable operational frameworks for changing market demands and client needs.
Project Delivery & Risk Management: - Ensure successful turnkey delivery that meets client and regulatory standards.
- Implement robust risk management strategies to reduce operational and financial risk.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and sustainability company-wide.
Leadership & Team Development: - Lead regional directors, project managers, and operational teams.
- Foster a high-performance, goal-aligned culture.
- Promote talent development, succession planning, and leadership growth.
Requirements: Required Qualifications & Experience: - Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of leadership experience in construction, engineering, or industrial project management.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, international construction projects.
- Experience with global clients in food, pharma, data centers, or logistics.
- Strong leadership and operational decision-making skills.
- In-depth knowledge of contract management (FIDIC, NEC, JCT) and procurement.
- Expertise in financial oversight, cost control, and business growth strategies.
- Knowledge of BIM, Lean Construction, and digital project management tools.
- Experience in expanding into new markets.
- Strong professional network within the construction sector.
