THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill one (1) full-timevacancy for the position of Clinical Supervisor I/II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). Tri-City’s MCCP is a 24/7 mobile crisis response team with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays. Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

The MCCP Clinical Supervisor I/II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Supervisor I/II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Respond to client (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;

 

  • Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure.

 

  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;

 

  • Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;

 

  • Perform triage and linkages to non-client community members in the Tri-City catchment areas.

 

  • The Clinical Supervisor incumbent must be available for consultation during and following crisis calls as well as to fill in when back-up is needed in the field during scheduled work hours.

Ideal Candidate

Clinical Supervisor I:Two years of post-license professional experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting providing direct client services which must have included: client assessment and evaluation, development and implementation of appropriate treatment plans, providing psychotherapy or behavioral health counseling, and providing indirect services involving information, consultation, and educational services to staff and community. At least two years of supervisory experience in a mental health/co-occurring disorders setting preferred.


Clinical Supervisor II: At least four years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor I or the equivalent managerial/supervisory experience in a mental health/co-occurring disorders setting including experience in a responsible management capacity.

Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners or Licensed Clinical Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology. Candidates recruited from out-of-state must possess an out-of-state license to practice in one of the above stated options. Individuals hired under this option shall obtain their license to practice issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within three years of date of hire. During the interim three years, the incumbent shall be eligible for a Mental Health Professional Licensing Waiver Request approved by the State of California Health and Human Services Agency.

The incumbents will possess the most desirable combination of education, training, skills, and experience, as demonstrated in their past and current employment history. *Candidates may be hired above the minimum salary range depending on qualifications (DOQ).

FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:

NEW! Sign-on Bonuses: $2500 for eligible positions.

Merit Salary Increases:Annually based on performance, budget availability, and supervisor approval.

CalPERS Pension:2% @ 55 for Classic Members and 2% @ 62 for PEPRA Members; employee contributes 7% for Classic and 7.75% for PEPRA. No Social Security. 

Vacation:80 hours per year, increasing with years of service with a maximum of 240 hours; cash-out option available.

Sick Leave: Full-Time employees = 88 hours per year with no cap.

Holidays/ Holiday Pay:Tri-City recognizes 11 Authorized Holidays and 16 hours of Floating Holidays per calendar year. In lieu of fixed or floating holidays, employees assigned to work for the MCCP on a Tri-City Authorized Holiday shall receive compensation at one and one-half (1 ½ ) times the employee’s basic hourly rate for the number of hours actually worked.

Shift Differential Pay:$2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

NEW!Longevity Pay: $2500 at 5 years of service; $5000 at 10-35 milestone years of service.

Health Insurance:Medical (Kaiser HMO), dental (MetLife PPO) and vision coverage (EyeMed) of which 80% is paid by Tri-City Mental Health Authority (TCMHA).

Life Insurance:Paid at one times annual salary, paid by Tri-City MHA with additional optional coverage available.

Deferred Compensation (457b):Available to interested employees; no employer match.
