Intern Data and Analytics

Intern Data and Analytics Reports to : Data Director

Primary Duties:

We are looking for a dynamic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting the Data and Analytics department. Under general supervision of a Data Director, the intern will work in a variety of assignments to provide general support to the Data and Analytics department. The intern’s assignments will make a positive contribution to the Larry H. Miller Company as well as give the intern opportunities to gain “hands on” work experience with the intent of training the intern for the potential of starting a successful career after graduation.

This is internship at the Larry H. Miller Company’s Sandy, UT location. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 20. This internship is not eligible for the employee benefits regular company employees are entitled to. Candidates must be able to commute to Sandy, UT.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the LHMCO and the portfolio companies.
• Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful.
• Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies.

Internship Details:

• 4 months projected duration
• $22 hourly
• Part-Time

• Must be enrolled as a senior in an accredited University/College Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Information Systems or other relevant program.
• Must be able to commute to Sandy, UT office.

Responsibilities:

• Attend sprint planning/project planning activities.
• Attend business meeting for requirement gathering.
• Create business and technical documentation.
• Build data pipelines in Python/Snowflake/AWS/Control-M.
• Build reports and dashboards in PowerBI.
• Perform data analysis task and present.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficient in SQL.
• Familiar with data warehousing and visualization concepts.
• Working knowledge of Python or any other programming language.
