Job Title: Entry-Level Data Analyst

Job Summary:  Our Client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Analyst to support our retail client in analyzing data and providing insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of data analysis and some experience in the retail sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within the field of data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Preparation:

  • Assist in gathering and preparing data from various sources, including sales, inventory, and customer data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through preliminary data cleaning and validation processes.

• Data Analysis:

  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in retail data.
  • Support the development of reports and dashboards that highlight key performance indicators and insights.

• Reporting & Visualization:

  • Create and update reports and visualizations to communicate data findings to the client and internal teams.
  • Assist in presenting data insights in a clear and actionable manner.

• Client Support:

  • Work closely with the client to understand their data needs and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Respond to data-related queries and support the client’s analytics needs as required.

• Market & Competitive Research:

  • Conduct basic market research to support the client’s business strategies.
  • Analyze customer feedback and purchasing patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Some experience or internships related to data analysis, preferably with a focus on retail or consumer-facing industries.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or SAP.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a client-facing role.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of data analytics.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;
• other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
