Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Facilities Associate. The hourly rate for this position is $20.40 - $30.60 per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you'll do:** **PRIMARY FUNCTION:** Eaton Aerospace Group located in Los Angeles; CA (near Glendale metro) has an opening for an Facilities Associate. The LA facility has approximately 250 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various building systems. + Operate a variety of equipment to perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs and maintain cleanliness of property. + Perform a variety of maintenance/minor repair activities but not limited to, painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing repairs, clears drain stoppages, lighting, flooring, and roof. + Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, supplies, equipment, and tools. + Assist in the setup of events and install/take-down décor. + Support the site with employee moves, shipping and receiving, and other related tasks. + Conduct routine office maintenance including mounting TV's, whiteboards, workstations, assembling office furniture. + Embody and support Eaton's Environmental, Health, and Safety policy. + Perform work with all applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines (including OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment. + Assist with emergency planning and response in coordination with management and facilities team. + Provide assistance and interact with all employees as needed. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited institution. + Minimum of 2 years hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. + Relocation is not offered for this role. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile distance of the Los Angeles, CA facility (zip code 90039) to be considered. + Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. + This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with health and safety plans and policies. + Use of and training for scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, boom & scissor lifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection equipment. + Support with emergency response crews in incidents involving hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil, and water. + Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R), concrete, framing, and industrial gas trade + Experience using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook). \#IND123 \#LI-SB2 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
