Binchotan Bar & Grille is where fireside cooking meets modern flair. At Fairmont Orchids hottest new restaurant guests explore the longrunning creative culinary exchange between Hawaii and Japan at our Traditional northern Japanese grill utilizing centuriesold practices of robatayaki: fireside cooking grilled to perfection. Originating from Hokkaid Japan robatayaki reflects the seafaring lifestyle: seasoned fishermen grilling up their fresh catch over the irori or glowing white coals served sizzling hot.

What you will be doing:

• Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm personal & detailed service in a luxury upscale and fast paced environment.
• Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant for our guests through detailed cleanliness setup and ambiance control.
• Distribution and delivery of guests food orders out onto the service floor and serving them at their tables to the correct guest
• Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services contents & preparation methods outlets and hotel services/features
• Assist servers in proper garnishing of all menu items ordered
• Maintain cleanliness of all chinaware. Monitor quality and consistency of all menu items being served
• Maintain clean and orderly condition of the service line station.
• Daily requisition of all food condiments and to ensure adequate stock levels of all necessary dishware linen and condiments for daily service operations
• Try to remember individual patrons names and their preferences to extend a personalized service
• Ensure that all food & beverage are served according to service standard
• Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set all tables according to standards and procedures
• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required
• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Good reading writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Detailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be selfmotivated and energetic.
• Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance)
