SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Materials Handler to help make this vision come true for our customers when they come in and are looking for support. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs all assigned duties in a safe manner adhering to all company safety requirements.
  • Performs assigned duties to deliver parts and other necessary items to the production floor.
  • Performs assigned duties to return unnecessary items back to the parts department.
  • Performs assigned duties to transfer parts and other necessary items from department to department.
  • Provides support in job preparation as needed for production of equipment.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventories as required.
  • Provide coverage for cutting materials and prepping materials as required.
  • Ensure assigned areas are kept in a neat and organized manner.
  • Ensure accuracy of all paperwork completed.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Provides general labor support, or any assigned tasks as determined by Management, as needed for production of equipment. 
  • Accurately tracks time in Timecard system.
  • Recommends methods for improving efficiency a reducing waste of materials and utilities.


QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • General mechanical and/or refrigeration knowledge.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be detail oriented.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Ability to communicate and read instructions in English. (Bilingualism a plus)


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the production staff.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to assist in creating and executing continuous improvement initiatives.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.
  • This position requires a significant amount of walking; bending; standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
