We are seeking a highly qualified Behavioral Psychology Specialist with a clinical or forensic background to support psychological assessments, threat evaluations, and counterintelligence initiatives. This role requires extensive expertise in forensic psychology, workplace violence prevention, and security risk management within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC). The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with security and law enforcement professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments related to threat evaluation and counterintelligence operations.

  • Advise on eligibility and access determinations for sensitive information, particularly regarding workplace violence prevention.

  • Support investigative teams by applying psychological expertise to personnel security risks.

  • Develop and implement forensic psychology methodologies to identify behavioral indicators of insider threats.

  • Collaborate with security, counterintelligence, and law enforcement professionals on behavioral risk assessments.

  • Ensure adherence to DoD policies and Intelligence Community directives regarding personnel security and insider threats.

  • Contribute to psychological research and policy development for enhancing security measures within federal agencies.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology or Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) with a clinical and/or forensic background.
  • Active psychologist license in any of the 50 U.S. states or territories.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of clinical and/or forensic psychology.
  • Forensic expertise with direct experience in either threat assessment or counterintelligence support.
  • Demonstrated understanding of eligibility and access determinations for sensitive information related to workplace violence prevention.
  • Experience working directly with the DoD population, supporting the military or DoD operations.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with threat assessment professionals and security specialists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) Certification in either Clinical Forensic Psychology or Police & Public Safety Psychology.

  • Experience designing and leading behavioral threat training programs for intelligence and law enforcement personnel.

  • Strong communication skills to present psychological findings to leadership and investigative teams.
