Title: Oracle Database Administrator

Salary Range : 90k-115k - commensurate with candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications

What You'll Do on a Daily Basis

• Install, upgrade, and configure Oracle servers, application tools, and storage structures.
• Create and modify database objects (tables, views, indexes) based on developer designs.
• Manage user access, ensure system security, and maintain compliance with Oracle license agreements.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance.
• Plan and execute backups, recovery, and data archiving.
• Support AWS cloud migration and manage cloud-native database solutions.
• Design and optimize database structures using normalization and relational concepts.
• Implement database changes using version control and agile practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address database requirements and improvements.
• Address payroll-related inquiries and manage communication with Oracle technical support when needed.

Required Education/Qualifications :

• Clearance: MUST be fully adjudicated & maintain a Top Secret security clearance or higher.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications : Security+ CE Certified.
• Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator , working with Java applications .
• Experience with AWS cloud migration and infrastructure, including experience with cloud-native database solutions is preferred
• Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and relational database concepts.
• Experience with database tools and utilities for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with version control systems , agile software development practices and DevSecOps concepts .
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Shell scripting for automating routine database tasks and cloud migration activities.
• Knowledge of previous experience working with DoD systems and security requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.
• Experience in AWS certifications , Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS ) , PL/ SQL Microsoft SQL Server are a plus.
