Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Package/Mail Screener to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for screening and inspecting packages and mail to ensure they meet security and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is highly attentive, efficient, and committed to maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine incoming packages and mail using screening equipment, such as X-ray machines and scanners.
• Identify and report suspicious or prohibited items per company and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of screened items and incidents.
• Sort and organize packages and mail for distribution.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any issues or concerns.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of screening equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Previous experience in security, mail handling, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to operate screening equipment and interpret visual data.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
