JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the safe, courteous movement of people and equipment within the hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year experience in patient contact in a hospital and/or healthcare facility.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of personal computers

Pay Rate: $15- $18 per hour

JOB RELATIONSHIPS (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)

Has daily contact with patients, visitors, and all aspects of health care personnel. Adjusts patient interaction and/or treatment to match each person specific developmental, education, or other related needs.

JOB DUTIES (* denotes “essential function”)

1. Demonstrates the WMH Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers. *

2. Transports patients in a safe, courteous manner within the hospital and to the parking garage as necessary in a timely manner. *

3. Transports materials in a safe, courteous manner within the hospital and to the parking garage as necessary in a timely manner.*

• Submits documentation to management on adherence to quality and performance standards.*
• Ensures that IV solutions have not infiltrated and urine bags are placed correctly.*
• Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly, removing unsafe equipment and notifying management.*
• Ensures patient confidentiality. *
• Cleans assigned equipment daily with approved germicidal solution according to departmental and infection control guidelines. *
• Enters data into computer. *
