The Procurement & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing purchasing, inventory, and logistics to ensure seamless project execution. This individual will play a key role in sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, optimizing costs, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. Working closely with Accounting, Project Managers, and the Operations team, they will ensure that technicians have the necessary supplies and equipment for scheduled jobs.
Procurement & Cost Management:
Source and purchase materials, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely availability.
Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to improve margins and reduce costs.
Maintain and update vendor pricing to ensure accurate cost tracking.
Logistics & Inventory Management:
Coordinate the movement of materials to and from active job sites.
Arrange for item pickups by technicians or schedule deliveries with local couriers.
Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries from freight carriers.
Track and allocate parts used on job sites to ensure accurate project billing.
Warehouse Operations:
Oversee organization, cleanliness, and security of the warehouse and inventory.
Implement efficient storage and tracking systems to minimize waste and errors.
High deadline motivation to work with the sales team to sell through B-stock and/or list on platforms like eBay.
Additional Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Schedule non-project-managed jobs.
Track and schedule fleet maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Sheets and Docs.
Ability to lift and carry items over 50 lbs.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Successful completion of Livewire University within one year of employment.
Experience in purchasing, logistics, or warehouse management.
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems.
Previous experience using a CRM platform and accounting software.
