Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Certification Engineer/Airworthiness Engineer, where you'll be instrumental in developing and managing certification documentation for aircraft modification projects. You'll work closely with regulatory bodies such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and international aviation authorities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for STC validation requests to foreign aviation authorities, as well as the development of Alternate Means of Compliance requests to the FAA.
  • Craft company positions on exemptions, safety findings, and responses to FAA issue papers, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive certification roadmaps for projects resulting in STC issuance, focusing on innovative and complex aircraft modifications.
  • Efficiently manage multiple certification modification projects concurrently, ensuring seamless coordination between engineering teams and regulatory representatives.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering teams and regulatory representatives, ensuring technical data compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary data for certification activities, maintaining meticulous documentation throughout the process.
  • Coordinate conformity requirements and inspections, ensuring adherence to certification plans and regulatory standards.
  • Generate reports to demonstrate FAA compliance and oversee the completion of approval packages.
  • Coordinate the issuance of STCs and contribute to regulatory audit responses, foreign validations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and training to team members, prioritizing tasks and ensuring quality output.
  • Uphold professionalism and adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Aviation Management preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 to 12 years of practical experience in a related role, with a comprehensive understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, particularly Parts 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 29, 91, 121, 125, and 135.
  • Proficiency in certification procedures, with knowledge of various aircraft modification projects including interior completions, avionics modifications, and in-flight connectivity systems.
  • Familiarity with FAA Bilateral Procedures and foreign aviation certification processes.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software applications.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work extended hours when necessary.

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in English language, with the ability to comprehend complex technical documents and regulatory materials.
