STEEL DETAILER:

GPAC is partnered with a well-established detailing firm to hire an experienced Steel Detailer to help take on the increasing work load. Our client is a company that was created to be the go to name in Steel detailing for Steel fabricators, GC's, and Steel erectors for timely and accurate structural, miscellaneous, and ornamental metal projects. There abilities rage across the construction industry, serving the commercial, industrial, highrise, agriculture, public works, PEMB, and education construction industry. Due to continued growth our client company needs to hire a motivated talented steel detailer with strong computer skills and experience with Structural, Miscellaneous, and ornamental metals. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for creating structural steel drawings for fabrication and erection crews. Looking for someone who wants to grow with the company as there will be room for advancement.

Steel Detailing Position Duties and Responsibilities:

• Detail shop fabrication drawings for structural beams, columns, stairs, handrails, and trusses.
• Generating a bill of materials for shop drawings
• Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabrication
• Working with project engineers to clarify approval drawings
• Review RFI's
• Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards of steel construction
• BIM modeling

Preferred Qualifications Experience

• Tekla, AutoCAD, SDS/2, BIM modeling software
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Bluebeam. FabSuite / Tekla EPM (estimating/production software for structural steel fabricators)
• Background in steel construction
