Job Description



AECOM  is seeking a  Structural Engineering Intern  to join AECOM Bridge Department in Seattle, WA.

This position is expected to begin in May 2025.

As a Structural Engineering Intern specializing in Bridges, you will work under the supervision of experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in the design, analysis, and construction of bridge structures. This internship will provide you with exposure to various phases of bridge engineering projects, including planning, design, evaluation, and construction. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or similar discipline, and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.=

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software.
  • Some basic coursework in steel and concrete design.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time, deadlines, keep track of steps, and prioritize tasks.
