Kentro is hiring for an experienced UI/UX Designer to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity . Kentro will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions, including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for creating user interfaces and experiences that are both visually appealing and functional, combining elements of visual design, psychology, and technology to create seamless and efficient user experiences.
  • Research to understand SIE/operator needs, preferences, and behaviors. Design interfaces that are user-friendly and meet the target audience’s expectations.
  • May create wireframes and prototypes to visualize the design and functionality of the interface before development.
  • Assists in designing the visual elements of the interface, including layout, color schemes, typography, and icons, ensuring that the design is aesthetically pleasing and consistent with SIE and operator interface requirements.
  • May conduct usability testing to gather feedback on the design and make necessary adjustments to improve the user experience.
  • Works closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design is implemented correctly and meets SIE/operator requirements.
  • Ensures that the design is accessible to all users across degraded communications by following best practices and guidelines.

Location : On-site in Fayetteville, NC

Requirements

  • Junior level: 0-3 years relevant experience and a BA/BS degree,
  • Journeyman level: A Bachelor's degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Senior level: 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree.
  • Substitutions for education:
  • Associate's degree plus 4 years of work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree
  • 6 years of work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • 12 years of work experience may be substituted for a master's degree

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work with teams but is self-motivated to complete projects independently.
  • Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have TS/SCI clearance.
