Are you a certified Special Education (SPED) teacher looking for a flexible, fully remote opportunity? We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate educators to provide virtual instruction to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This fully remote position offers the flexibility of working as an independent contractor, allowing you to manage your schedule while making a meaningful impact on students' education.

Position Overview

Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

Schedule: Full-time (35-40 hours per week, including indirect time)

Platform: Secure and compliant virtual teaching platform (Zoom Plus, HIPAA/FERPA compliant)

Compensation: $28-35 per hour (based on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of the current school year (with opportunities for the 2025-2026 school year)

School Hours: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (local time)

Responsibilities

Provide engaging and interactive virtual instruction to students with IEPs.

Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and intervention strategies accordingly.

Collaborate with on-site school staff, faculty, and families to support student learning and success.

Participate in virtual IEP meetings with parents, educators, and support staff.

Utilize technology effectively to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).

Certification: Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state of Delaware.

Experience: Previous experience as a SPED teacher required; remote teaching experience preferred.

Technical Requirements:

Reliable home computer with camera and microphone functionality.

Stable high-speed internet connection capable of running Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
