*Relocation at a future date required to advance to a CFO/Controller position. 

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with the completion of month end close, cost reports, budgets, governmental and other miscellaneous reports. Position will interact with facility CEOs and CFOs; facility Business Office Managers; corporate personnel and government agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete month-end close for assigned facilities, including monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist the Regional Financial Director in the review of month end close and help reconcile problem accounts.
• Assist in the completion of cost reports.
• Assist facility Administrators and accounting personnel on accounting related questions and problems.
• Assist facilities in development and maintenance of the APC/DOI reports and completion of state and federal reports.
• Perform special projects for Administrators, Regional Financial Directors, and Regional Vice Presidents.
• Assist in the completion of work papers assigned for external audits as well as work with auditors on any audit related issues.
• Assist Regional Financial Director in the preparation of the annual budget for all assigned facilities, including annual tax packages.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all required reports and accounting data to meet applicable financial deadlines.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required, Master's preferred
• 3-5 Years experience as a staff accountant
• Proficient in standard accounting operating procedures and principles
• Strong leadership and organizational skills 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) .
  
• Ability to relocate upon completion of the program (Relocation assistance provided by UHS).
  
• Self starter, team player, strong communication skills, customer oriented, leadership skills.
