Job Description

Location:   Freezer, cooler, and dry warehouse environments

Work Conditions:

• Dock temperature: ~30°F
  
• Freezer temperature: 10–20°F
  
• Layered clothing recommended for adaptability to varying temperatures.
  

Requirements:

• Steel-toe (steel or composite) boots above the ankle.
  
• Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
  

Key Skills:

• Timeliness : Punctual attendance and completing tasks on schedule.
  
• Attention to Detail : Precision in processing orders, ensuring accuracy in shipments and records.
  
• Equipment Operation :
  
• Experience with scan guns and warehouse computers preferred.
  
• Use of an electric pallet jack (Crown). Training will be provided; prior experience is a plus.
  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Package materials or finished goods for protection, display, and transport.
  
• Select products from inventory, assemble, pack, and transport to staging areas for shipment.
  
• Load and unload product deliveries.
  
• Maintain accurate records of shortages and report them to the supervisor.
  
• Deliver stacked pallets to designated areas on the loading dock to ensure proper staging for systematic loading.
  
• Operate equipment safely and professionally.
  

Workplace Standards:

• Maintain personal cleanliness (e.g., trimmed, clean fingernails).
  
• Wear neat, clean, appropriately fitting clothing.
  
• Steel-toe shoes required.
  
• No jewelry except plain metal wedding bands or medical alert items.
  
• Nail polish, artificial nails, false eyelashes, and clothing with embellishments are prohibited in processing areas.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience : 0–3 years in a related field.
  
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• Skills : Familiarity with standard warehouse practices and procedures; ability to work under general supervision to meet goals.
