Job Description

The primary mission of the CMS Sales Specialist is to help Flexential clients and client prospects understand, adopt and use Flexential’s portfolio of CMS Products.

In this role, you will partner closely with our Sales, SA, Sales Engineer, Product, Product Marketing, CIO organization, Customer Success Management, and Partner Program teams. The successful candidate will combine a solid understanding of pre-sales, sales, sales support, and partner dynamics with the ability to map customer requirements and manage the end-to-end Interconnection services lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Understand customers business and technical challenges, then work with the AE and SE to architect a Flexential Cloud Solution that is geared towards solving their business pain points and helps them achieve their goals related to their IT infrastructure.
  • Stay informed on improvements and product features to help AE adoption and accelerate sales pipeline growth and sales quota achievement.
  • Stay informed on new product enhancements and rollout to the industry to help AE adoption and accelerate sales pipeline growth and sales quota achievement.
  • Identify adoption blockers and inhibitors and be both of sales and customer when articulating objections and roadblocks to product development, marketing, and executive leadership team.
  • Work with product stakeholders, RVPs, marketing, AE’s and SE’s teams to execute on plans to remove objections, inhibitors and roadblocks.
  • Stay current on and identify industry trends and new solutions in the broader technical community that are applicable to cloud adoption. Including VMware, Zerto, Azure, AWS, Google, Commvault, NetApp, Veeam.
  • Encourage AE and SE teams to leverage collateral tools like Seismic during the qualification and later stage sales process.
  • Salesforce assistance and Hygiene with the AE to ensure that opportunities are in the correct sales stage and forecasted correctly.

Required Qualifications

  • The CMS Sales Specialist must be proficient in consultative technical selling techniques and maintain a challenger mindset
  • Validated experience in owning and winning the technical customer decision for sales opportunities and usage scenarios through tailoring your message, bringing ideas to customers, engaging with them to show our technology differentiation, and guiding them in decision-making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud and managed services sales experience
  • End-to-end opportunity management experience
  • Possess skills across multiple platforms, including hyperscale clouds
