Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)- 60880

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to work in Austin,Texas

Requirements

• Database Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (versions 11g/12c/19c) in both standalone and clustered environments.
• GoldenGate Implementation: Design, configure, and manage Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions for real-time data synchronization and migration.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze database performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and apply tuning techniques to enhance database efficiency.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Pump, and other Oracle tools.
• Monitoring: Proactively monitor database health using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including GoldenGate configuration and replication errors.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain database security policies, user access control, and encryption standards.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure database reliability and optimal performance. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Oracle GoldenGate configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL scripting, and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Specialist in GoldenGate.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
• Knowledge of containerized database environments using Docker or Kubernetes.
