Crown Solar (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect through crownsolar.com.au and when you deal with us, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Details you give us — your name, phone number, email, address or postcode, and information about your property, energy use or project when you fill in an enquiry form, book a call, phone or email us.
• Website usage information — how visitors use the site, collected through analytics and cookies (see below).

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, arrange and carry out installations and servicing, and stay in touch about your job. If you opt in on our forms, we may also send you offers and updates; you can opt out at any time, including by replying STOP to a text message.

Analytics and cookies

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use our website so we can improve it. Clarity records how you interact with our pages — for example clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — and produces session recordings and heatmaps. It uses cookies and similar technologies to do this. Information you type into our enquiry forms is not captured by Clarity.

The data is collected and stored by Microsoft. You can read how Microsoft handles it in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work if you do.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business — such as our customer-relationship (CRM) and form platform, our website hosting provider and Microsoft Clarity — and with a finance or grant provider if you ask us to refer you. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your record deleted by emailing admin@crownsolar.com.au.
